Tristan and I went off to Metricon Head office today for our contract signing with Kate, it took us 3 hours in totally as this was our very last chance to change anything structural, and we did, adding a couple of cavity sliders to the house one in ensuit etc, also moving a couple of down pipes and we also decided that we were going to have the front windows of our house done in timber as we like the finish look of them (our garage is also going to be a timber look finish), other then that, most of the other things were small little changes, we already have such a big list of upgrades and we haven't even had our Studio M apt or our electrical, were hoping that we have covered most of it already before we get in there :/ !!
We also made our fortnightly trip down to the estate last Saturday afternoon, the roads in Chantenay look like they are nearly finished and alot of the cross overs have been done, We also were early enough to go have a look through the metricon displays that have opened, it was nice to see our facade, although ours obviously wont be exactly the same it was nice to have an idea what it would look like.(As the Belize does not have a display home). Also we are going to try and go down to see the tiles before we have our Studio M and electrical on the 11 of Nov!!

Great Tash, Can't believe you are on a later stage than us, and signing contracts already!!! Our builder was told that they can't get onto Charlbury until end of November to do soil tests so he can determine site costs. We were down there last week and the gutters had been done and they were doing the formwork for the crossovers and paths. Isn't it great to finally see some action over our side of the estate!
Too exciting!!! Sounds like you're going to have a really lovely home thanks to all of the homework you've done. Have you shortlisted colours yet?
Thanks Janine and Reinsey,
Kate our CSC is quick and very lovely we asked for quiet a few changes yesterday and she organised them on the spot for us, she wants to make sure that when titlement comes around we are completly ready to get our build on the way, so that is very positive, I think at this stage it looks like still Dec/Jan from what i have been told :).
With colours we have an idea, we just arent sure how it will look once we see it all together!! We are thinking Light Cream bricks, Dark roof, timber windows and doors with a dark brick in our feature wall at the front, and the inside will follow suit, white tiles in fam/din/kit/hallway, dark timber floor in study, and cream carpet(i think), 2x dark timber bi-part in the fam/kit, Bathrooms were not sure yet!! lol But im guessing all of this could change when we do our studio M, Tristan has some great ideas as he builds homes all the time, so i think i will trust in him!!
Welcome Tristan and Tash to the joys and dramas of building your dream home in a wonderful estate/community. Good luck with the Selection process, enjoy and have fun.
Colours tomorrow... Are you freaking out or all organized?
Things are finally happening on our stage now Tash, went down to the block last weekend and our footpaths & driveway crossover are done and they have started to put down road base. Lets hope our December title comes to fruition. Whats the latest with you?
I was absolutley freaking out Reinsey, but it wasnt as bad as i thought it would be, and i am pretty happy with the colours that we choose :)
